Web Site Pages ‘Completed’

Well, I’ve stirred the soup up quite a bit, and as promised, have completed the Style Guide Section which includes articles on metals like silver and copper, and my finishing techniques. Also completed, the Commissions section that includes my Pricing Guidelines, Date of Delivery calculations, a Commission Request Form, and my Warranty.

My new logo design is also finished and will be unveiled at the Grand Opening!

Finally, I can turn my attention to my Etsy shop. Photography begins tomorrow!

Is the Web Site ‘complete’? Well, no… not really… a web site is never completed because it is constantly being updated. But I do believe I have the main sections now in place, and we can move along now with other priorities.

Stay tuned!

More Web Development Progress…

Just another brief update… today I have added:

  • social functionality to the web site
  • an enhanced log in system
  • and the ability to post my blog links to Facebook, Twitter, and Yahoo with the click of a button and the help of a great little application by Janrain (if you are not familiar with this user management platform, I urge you to check it out)

In the soup:

  • continuing updates in the Style Guide section which will assist customers in describing their custom jewelry design requests.
  • in particular, the Gemstone Reference section is an ongoing affair, requiring much research and compilation. This most likely will continue for several weeks. I only intend to update this section as time permits and is not high on the priority list.
  • coming in the next day or so, functionality and customer forms for jewelry requests located in Commissions.
  • also on the plate, Wired For You will launch a Facebook page…
Stay tuned!

Progress Report

Just a quick update on the Grand Opening Launch!

Today my new Studio Lights arrived which I am very excited about! Finally I’ll be able to move my photography inside instead of waiting for the perfect lighting conditions outdoors. It also means I can now do my photography at all hours of the day, which my sister will use as her nudge stick for me to hurry this web site project along!

The new Studio Lights are perfect for anyone who needs to take photographs of small objects and keep the colors as true as possible. These lights come with 35 watt/5400k daylight fluorescent spiral bulbs which keeps the colors as close to natural as possible.

I’ve also added more pages to the web site, and only have a few more to go… but the biggest project now is photographing my Wired For You jewelry! Stay tuned…
